Valma Budgell's Story

Seems like St. John's has been my home forever.  

I got started in real estate 15 years ago.  I serviced the St. John's Metropolitan area and I am still servicing this area today.

For twenty plus years I worked for The Salvation Army in various positions.  I am extremely grateful for the varied positions of trust and responsibilities The Salvation Army afforded me.  I learnt so much and honed many skills that are very helpful in my real estate business today.  

Upon completing my work with the Salvation Army a friend asked what I was going to do next?  I really could not answer him.  He asked:  "why don't you become a real estate agent?"  I think I was shocked that he would suggest that I would be a real estate agent. Considering I had never sold anything in my life!  He wisely asked:  "Valma what have you been doing all your life?"  I responded:  "I like to think I have been helping people in their life journey."  "Well"...he said, "you will be doing the same thing...helping people."  He was absolutely right and Truest words ever spoke!

I signed on to write my real estate exam.  I was licensed as a Realtor in August 2008.  This was a new day and a new career path for me.  I was ready!  I serviced the St. John's metropolitan area until June 2010.

June 2010 I moved to Ontario as a licensed Realtor.  I enjoyed the privilege of being a licensed Realtor in Ontario for 3 years.  That was a learning curve!   Geography and real estate methodology were so different from Newfoundland.  People were different too.  However, human need is human need irregardless of geography!   I was able to help many homeowners in Ontario to list, sell and buy their homes.  

We returned back home (St. John's) in 2013 and once again I was blessed with the privilege of being licensed Realtor in St. John's, NL.

I have had the privilege to help many homeowners make the best decision for them resulting in their best case scenario.

I do not see myself as a salesperson.  I see myself as someone who is invested in helping home owners achieve their goals.  I have helped hundreds of people make the best decisions for them during the process of selling or buying their home. 

Selling a home can be stressful.  I work with home owners to make the process of selling their home as worry free as possible.  I guide you throughout your entire journey of selling your home.

Buying a home can be scary and intimidating.  It is the biggest purchase and financial investment any one person will make in their life time!  I will make sure you have the best information to make an informed decision.
